Cheese and milk as rodents are actually lactose intolerant

Citrus Fruits are only out for boys I'm pretty sure as they contain carcinogens (SP) that can affect males. Although alot of people steer clear of citrus for both their boys and girls to be completely safe. I feed the odd piece of manderine to my girls with no effect and have been doing so for years, but i never give any citrus to my boys

Citrus is already up there.
Dog food refers to wet dog and cat food, though most dry dog food is not suitable for rats either.

Protein content. Most dog food has a lot more protein than rats need. Too much causes health problems, such as itching and scabbing.

WOW i didnt know that you could give them these foods. Can i ask why? Do the wild ones stay away from that stuff too?? Or because we have them as pets we just have to be careful.
Thanks

Best if you ask specifically about each food. They all have different reasons for not being fed to rodents.
For example, citrus fruit can cause cancer in male rats, and avocado is toxic.
Coastal: FEEDING MEAT DOES NOT CAUSE AGGRESSION. This is a MYTH! A very common one, but a myth all the same!

Yep I'll find some links to websites that explain the reasons and post them later.
