Red (ruby) eyed white are the same as BEW. They are a coloured rat (fawn, argente, buff or dove) that have just come out with only a white coat. It's not like the pink eyed albino where the albino gene has removed the colour from their coat AND eye colour.
Parents and siblings could be any number of colours or markings, the parents were either ruby eyed or carried ruby eyes. Julie from the MAd Ratter Rattery got BEW bubs when she crossed 2 capped parents, so chances are the parents were only lightly marked too

So, if a BEW carried ruby eyes, could it produce a REW bub?

depending on what it is put to. I have bubs here hows dad is a BEW and mum is Dove. SO by rights If I put siblings together (which I WON'T) yes they should or could produce both BEW or REW bubs. Also if you put a BEW carrying ruby eyes to a ruby eyed rat in say capped markings there is a chance a ruby eyed bub may end up with the over white maskings and therefore be a REW
Does that make sense
