Did anyone hear about that over the weekend? I cant believe they seized so many rats! One report says theres 500-600 rats plus already pregnant females which could result in an extra 150 rats!
Its really upsetting and I have no idea whether they're going to be able to help all those ratties!
Its so frustrating to hear about extreme situations like this and be helpless to stop it.

i sure did....
I cant understand anyone keeping so many pets when they cant care for them. Obviously someone who has issues!!
I hope they find them all homes!

I have no idea! I'm assuming the RSPCA is still dealing with it. I dont think they are allowed to put them down when they have been seized? But I dont know enough to say in what circumstances they can do certain things

I thought the RSPCA would put them down? As it would be *too hard* to rehome them all?

Can we not email them saying that there are lots of people who will give them a home or help them find a home? Surely freight would cost less than all the drugs they'll have to use to put them to sleep?

co2 doesnt cost that much, I dont think? Or would they use PTS drugs?

Well, either way i'd pay for freight and the rats themselves so it'd be free for the RSPCA. So sad thinking that all those poor ratties are being PTS for something that's not their fault.

its really cruel, for the poor rats to be kept in that way.

When we hear about the cases of animal cruelty, it makes you wonder how many cases go unnoticed or undiscovered
