How are the coastals temperaments? I'm a little nervous cos i've only had the smaller pythons before.. Like spotteds.. lol So not looking forward to being bitten by a huge snake for the first time. Have yours bitten you while they're big? Little doesn't count cos all hatchlings are nippy lol

I have only ever been bitten by Tomas & he is our 10mth old childreni... The big guys havent had the chance but im sure if my female was cranky enough she would LOL My male coastal has been handled all the time since he was a hatchling so is NEVER cranky even when he is in shed and cant see you, although I dont like to handle him too much just in case. I think coastals arent bad tempered like the Woma's or BHP's but Im sure every snake has its day too, I love coastals as they are really laid back.

So basically we should hold ours a fair bit while it's young to get it used to handling and reduce the risk of getting bitten while it's big?
