The trick to not shattering the plastic when using a jigsaw is to use a fine blade. I destroyed a few tubs before I realised the blade I was using was too big.

lol a soldering iron is getting creative! I was thinking of investing in a more expensive storage box one that has more flex (is more rubbery) to avoid the shattering thing in the more plastic-y boxes We had a fairly coarse blade on the jigsaw, then we switched to a really fine one but it still shattered

Hah, I was using an ancient blunt hacksaw so it was destined to fail from day one.
I wish I had at least some interest in these babies =(

I wish I could help you and take a baby or two but as it is I dont have any room (not to mention technically i shouldnt have pets unless they are approved - I hate Body Corporates!) I'm sure if you take them to the show you'll get some interest (can you sell at the show? I've seen people with babies there before)... Oh were the babies from a rescue? I couldn't remember how you ended up with them... my memory is a little vague lol Yeh we did the drilling holes in the corners too Sharz... i guess i wasnt meant to be able to make a cheap cage out of a plastic tub hehe but i havent given up hope yet!

I saw a teeny baby rat with a stomach the size of a tennis ball so I took her in and three days later she had 8 babies. She wasn't even 100 grams . They're all still available. There is absolutely NO interest in these babes, so fingers crossed i'll be able to find homes on Sunday =(. Geez I thought the irish girl would be adopted easily at least...

My black boy is also an Irish, but with a heart instead of a triangle. I had a boy like that years ago and I have been looking for one just like that since he passed away, but have never found one, or at least not one that was available and blue line free. Although I have to say I am having a great deal of trouble finding any Irish actually.
